Media enquiries
Invenio Research welcomes contact from the media both in relation to its research projects and requests to provide expert comment on legal, socio-legal or criminological matters, particularly those raising similar issues to those on which it has conducted research. Its directors have extensive experience of working with local and national television, radio, newspapers and professional, trade and special interest magazines.
For further details, please visit our Media page here.
Requests for details of research participants
Please note that Invenio Research receives many requests for the contact details of individuals who have participated in its research studies, particularly perpetrators of crime or victims of crime. Invenio Research regrets that it is unable to provide such information to the media or any other third parties. Its research is carried out within the confines of the British Society of Criminology Code of Ethics for Researchers in the Field of Criminology (among others) which requires that researchers must not breach their duty of confidentiality and not pass on identifiable data to third parties without participants’ consent.
Invenio Research routinely destroys identifiable data relating to research participants at the end of each project and does not maintain a contact database of crime victims or perpetrators. However, Invenio Research will be pleased to receive instructions to search for victims or perpetrators of specific crimes on a fee-bearing assignment-by-assignment basis.
